Pick a university and see the buildings around it, with the walk or the ride to campus on every one.
Use these established student areas as starting points, then compare each property's rent and route to your university.
Areas students actually take rooms in, with the buildings closest to each one. Matched by location, so a building appears under the area it stands in rather than the area its marketing claims.
The main student district, immediately south of the Universidad de Navarra campus, dense with flats and cheap enough to be the default.
The nineteenth century grid between the old town and the campuses, comfortable, well placed and quietly expensive.
Places students in Pamplona actually use. We have no arrangement with any of them.
The main public library with reading and study spaces.
Local services connecting the centre, Iturrama and university districts.
Central neighbourhood food market close to student residential areas.
Public park beside the University of Navarra side of the city.

A city-by-city note about the decisions that change your daily routine. Prices and availability remain live in the listings above.
Pamplona is a compact, prosperous Navarrese city with two universities facing each other across the same stretch of parkland on the south west side: the Universidad de Navarra, a private institution with a large medical school, and the public Universidad Pública de Navarra a little further out. Both are a walk from the centre. The one thing to plan around is San Fermín in July, when the bull run fills the city, every bed is taken and short-let prices go somewhere unrecognisable for a week.
Room types, what bills included really covers, when to book, and what to check if you are arriving from abroad.
Comparing options? These are the other cities in Europe where most students on our shortlist are basing themselves.
Pamplona is small enough that most students walk everywhere: Iturrama to the old town takes about twenty minutes and the campuses are closer still. The Villavesa city buses cover the outer towns and the public university with a student rate. The city sits on a plateau above the Arga and the riverside path around it is flat, green and good for cycling, which is a pleasant surprise in a Spanish city. Pamplona station is north west of the centre with Madrid about three hours away and San Sebastián and Bilbao reachable by bus in under two.
