After Now Student Living countersigns the tenancy, the FAQ gives five days to cancel in writing before move-in, reduced to two days from 1 August. A valid cooling-off cancellation refunds paid advance rent within 28 days. There is no cooling-off period after services or the stay begin, or for a booking made after the accommodation’s contract start date. Outside cooling-off, the FAQ identifies qualifying university-place failure or visa refusal using written evidence within 72 hours, subject to the linked offer policies. Choose a room online and follow the booking steps; the student can select a floor, flat and room where available. The booking asks for a permanent address, three years of address history, date of birth, photo ID and recent proof of address. A university acceptance letter is needed when booking the check-in appointment. The tenancy is complete when countersigned by Now Student Living. The exact booking documents and any accessibility or room-sharing request should be confirmed with the residence team.

Now Student Living’s current FAQ says it does not take a damage deposit to secure the booking. Instead it takes an advance-rent payment, credited against the first rent instalment. The amount is not stated in the FAQ. The waiver for rebookers is explicitly labelled 2026/27 and must not be assumed for another intake.

Payments are made through the Now Students app or Concurrent portal by Direct Debit or the available bank-transfer route; the residence team can also send the student or guarantor a one-time payment link. International students can use MangoPay bank transfer in the property’s currency, and some non-UK/EU students may use a credit card with a transaction fee. The FAQ says not to send a direct transfer to Now Student Living. The actual schedule and instalment count are in the booking documents.

The FAQ says both UK and international guarantors are accepted. A student unable to provide one can ask the residence team for a discounted registration link to the paid Housing Hand service, subject to that service’s approval. The chosen tenancy sets the guarantor’s liability and required documents.
