Pick a university and see the buildings around it, with the walk or the ride to campus on every one.
Use these established student areas as starting points, then compare each property's rent and route to your university.
Areas students actually take rooms in, with the buildings closest to each one. Matched by location, so a building appears under the area it stands in rather than the area its marketing claims.
A main street running above one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, with the pubs, the beaches and the Maritime Museum. Where most students want to be and priced for it.
Above the town beside Falmouth's own campus, with Swanpool beach below. The short walk if your course is art or design rather than at Penryn.
The older town up the creek, cheaper than Falmouth and a few minutes from the shared campus. Its own high street, and quieter evenings.
The campus site itself and the halls built around it, shared between Falmouth and Exeter. Nothing else is up here.
Places students in Falmouth actually use. We have no arrangement with any of them.
Public study space in the town centre.
The main student route linking Falmouth, Penryn and the university campus.
Free gallery above the library in the town centre.
A useful rail connection between the campus side, Falmouth and Truro.

A city-by-city note about the decisions that change your daily routine. Prices and availability remain live in the listings above.
Two things about studying here are not obvious from the name. The main campus is at Penryn, which is a separate town about two miles up the creek, and it is shared: Falmouth University and the University of Exeter both teach on the same site. Falmouth's own Woodlane campus, where much of the art and design happens, is in the town itself above Swanpool. So before you look at a room, work out which of those two sites your course actually uses.
Room types, what bills included really covers, when to book, and what to check if you are arriving from abroad.
Comparing options? These are the other cities in the UK where most students on our shortlist are basing themselves.
The U1 and U2 buses run between Falmouth, the Penryn campus and Penryn town constantly in term, and they are what makes living in either town workable; the trip is about ten minutes. The Maritime Line railway runs from Falmouth Docks through Penryn to Truro, where you join the main line, and Truro is about twenty minutes away. London Paddington is five hours, which is the longest journey on this site and worth knowing before you plan weekends home. The hills here are steep and the coast path is better walked than cycled, though the Penryn to Falmouth route along the creek is flat enough.
