A completed, countersigned booking is binding. Ordinarily you must find an acceptable replacement; Student Castle may help but does not guarantee one, and may refuse a takeover with fewer than 12 weeks remaining. Any refund, less the applicable non-refundable amount, follows the replacement signing, paying and moving in. The dedicated policy allows visa refusal only when the booking starts within 30 days of the visa decision, with rejection evidence within 48 hours. Failed qualification/university-entry evidence must also arrive within 48 hours. Accepted cases return advance rent. A documented university medical release may qualify under the ANUK process, subject to assessment. The English section says its accredited PBSA remains fixed-term; leaving does not itself remove rent liability. This general source does not define an ordinary cooling-off period: check the building’s agreement.

Book on Student Castle’s website, choose a room and pay the building-specific advance rent. The FAQ gives ten days to accept the offer, e-sign and upload documents; for bookings made within 14 days of the start, this may be shortened to 48 hours before commencement. A required guarantor also signs and supplies ID/address evidence. England uses a Common Law Tenancy, Scotland a Licence and Wales an Occupation Contract. The FAQ states students must be over 17 during the booked academic year in England, or at least 16 in Scotland; anyone starting under 18 must contact the team first. Confirm the actual offer and any university nomination.

Student Castle asks for advance rent at booking, with the amount set by the building. This is not confirmation of a separate damage deposit. If you pay but do not complete the booking and later cancel, the cancellation policy retains the lower of the advance payment and one week’s rent. The FAQ’s missed-acceptance wording says advance rent may be forfeited; clarify the applicable amount in the actual offer.

Pay on the instalment dates in your agreement and Student Portal. The FAQ also allows one advance payment without a guarantor, on the agreed due date; it does not promise a universal instalment count. Debit and credit cards are accepted. If a student loan is delayed, the FAQ asks for a loan-company letter showing amount/payment dates and four weeks’ advance rent before moving in; arrange this with the team.

Payment method mentions: card, online portal.

Instalments normally need a guarantor. UK and international guarantors are accepted, but they cannot be another student or a government body. They must sign and provide ID/address evidence. Without a suitable guarantor, full advance rent or an independently approved Housing Hand arrangement may be possible; the service has its own eligibility and charges.

Send the visa-refusal letter within 48 hours of receipt. The booking must start within 30 days of the visa decision. The dedicated policy says accepted cases cancel the booking and return advance rent; check the actual building agreement.

If you miss the required qualifications and are not accepted by the university, send the rejection letter or qualifying exam-results evidence within 48 hours of receipt. The dedicated policy says accepted cases cancel the booking and return advance rent.

MoJO does not add a student booking fee to enquiries or booking requests.
